PRESENT: Mary Spata, Paul Raymond, Rick Barrows

AGENDA: UV Bridge

Recycling

100 Acres

UV Ambulance, Inc.

Warrants

Paving

Meeting called to order at 6:40 PM.

Union Village Bridge: There is some concern over the condition of the

rafters. Several have been replaced, but others, obviously split have

been left in place. Future repairs will be difficult once the roof is

installed..

Recycling: The town has received two bids for trash hauling. The Town

would need to sell tickets to townspeople. The new site development is

proceeding, as the survey is under way.

100 Acres: Several interested citizens joined the meeting (George

Braley, Judy Bowdin, Robert Pulaski, and Jim Masland) to discuss the

virtues of having the town acquire this parcel. The Selectboard remains

concerned about any future liability the Town might have regarding the

water supply. That well-head parcel may not be conveyed with the

remaining land, or the water users could sign an agreement to indemnify

the Town. The water users will meet with the Selectboard on 7/22.

Upper Valley Ambulance: Kevin Cole, John Vose and Larry Lancaster of

UVA, Inc. joined the meeting to discuss concerns expressed through our

FAST squad. It was agreed that all parties should meet together to

discuss specific issues.

Warrants - The Board reviewed and approved warrants 29.1 for the Town

(amount $24,758.47) and 29.2 for the Highway (amount $8,021.38). Moved

Spata, second Raymond, passed unanimously. It was suggested that

advertising for the Highway Department be included under Highway

expenses.

Paving: The Town has received State funding of $91K for paving, as a

result, we will pave an additional 4000 feet of Tucker Hill Road, nearly

to Route 132. Mr. Raymond will place an ad regarding the disruption of

traffic.

The Board approved the minutes of 7/8 unanimously.

The Board reviewed the Union Village Bridge project and Mr. Raymond's

role as Town Representative vs. Municipal Project Manager.

Meeting adjourned at 10:25 pm.

Prepared by Rick Barrows.
